Kits 2.0

Table of Contents

What are Kits?

Kits are pre-defined sets of items and gear that you can claim in Obsidian Essentials. They are designed to give you a quick boost, provide starter items, or offer special rewards. Each kit might have a cooldown (how long you have to wait before claiming it again) or a price.

How to Use Kits

Claiming a Kit

To claim a kit, you'll use a simple command:

  • /kit give <kitName>
    • Replace <kitName> with the exact name of the kit you want to claim.
    • Example: If there's a kit called "StarterKit", you would type /kit give StarterKit.
    • The system will then check if you meet the requirements (like cooldown or price) and give you the items.

Viewing Available Kits

To see a list of all kits you can claim:

  • /kits
    • This command will show you all kits that are currently available to you.
    • Kits shown in blue are available for you to claim.
    • If you are an administrator, you might see kits in green (published/available to everyone) or red (unpublished/only available to admins).

Important Notes

Cooldowns

After claiming a kit, there will be a cooldown period before you can claim it again. This prevents players from spamming kits.

  • If a kit has a cooldown, the system will tell you how much time is left before you can claim it again (e.g., "You can claim this kit again in 1h 30m.").

Kit Prices

Some kits may require payment in in-game currency.

  • If a kit has a price, the system will tell you how much it costs and how much money you currently have.
  • Make sure you have enough money before attempting to claim a paid kit, as the cost will be deducted from your balance upon successful claim.

Full Inventory

If your inventory or equipment slots are full when you claim a kit, some items might be dropped on the ground around you.

  • Always try to have some free space to ensure you receive all items directly.
  • The system will notify you if items were dropped due to a full inventory.

Admin Panel Access

The "Kits Config" menu, used by server administrators to create and manage kits, is located within the admin panel. Regular users do not have access to this.
